Baby Shower

For all of you who follow our blog from outside the US, we have a fun American tradition of having a "Baby-shower".
A "Baby-shower" is when parents or expectant parents receive gifts for their newborn or expected child in the USA. The party is intended to help parents get items that they need for their baby, such as baby clothes. This event is traditional in the United States. Other countries and cultures celebrate an expected birth or newborn in other ways.
Anyway, we had our first ever, baby-shower yesterday! My cousins and Aunt were nice enough to throw a shower for us. It was great!

Thank you so much Heather, Jenn, Bailey and Marcia for everything!!

We had a number of family and friends that came to celebrate with us! ... thank you very much to all that came for your friendship, support and awesome gifts.

Here you have some of the things that our BOY got:

Boppy - We have heard great things about this!

Beautiful Handmade Blanket - Can't wait to cuddle him!

Swim Trunks and Flip Flops - Can't wait to take our little guy to the lake!

Diaper Genie - No smelly diapers in this house!(wishful thinking)

Bath Slippers - so small

Bathrobe to match the tiny sippers!

Changing Pad - no bear bum on any public restroom counter for our little guy!

Baseball Outfit - maybe he can wear this home from the hospital!

Receiving Blankets and Binkis - have you ever seen the binki wall at Babies R US??

Changing pad and Mattress for the crib - want him to be comfy!

Humidifier & Grooming Kit - One good looking kid!

Play Pen - This is really cool since it converts to a bassinet as well!

Man! You got spoiled! I'm so excited for you guys -- your baby is super lucky to have such a great mommy! (I'm sure he'll have a great dad too, but I still need to meet him someday!)
